Bengali Dramas Script PDF Download A lot of Indian people are not aware of Bengali Dramas. The main minority group in India is the Bengalis in Bangladesh. However, they are very influential because they have their own culture, language and tradition. They live in a predominantly Muslim nation which has many similarities to the Bangladesh region where they live. It is also known as Dhaka-Chittagong or Chittagong Hill Tracts, with territories scattered between these two regions. It is customary for Indian people to perform drama for entertainment during festivals and celebrations such as Diwali, Eid, etc. The Bengali Drama is popular among the Indian community. The reason for this is that it is very easy to understand. Bengali Dramas are written by people of Bengal region. This means that they are being performed in the local language which is called Bengali. Bengali Dramas are mostly about Hindu mythology or social topics, which makes them more entertaining for both men and women. The dramas are generally farcical in nature, full of comedy and sarcasm, with a touch of romance thrown in here and there to make it all the more appealing. However, they also have deep philosophical thoughts behind them for those who want to look deeper into it or simply enjoy it as pure entertainment. Some of the modern dramas are also centered on folk tales. There are many stories revolving around the Hindu Gods and Goddesses, Rama and Sita, Krishna and Rukmini; there are also Muslim plays that relate to historical personalities. Apart from that, there are plays that have been inspired from Shakespeare's works. There is a host of themes covered by these plays. Thus, these plays have a taste for everyone. Bengali dramas come in a variety of forms – they can be songs set to the tunes of Rabindra Sangeet songs or they can be simple dialogues or they can be songs with lyrics describing something or sometimes even episodes from Bengali novels which have been converted into plays by different groups. Some of the most popular things in Bengali Dramas are Raja, Rani, Darshan, Surya Deva etc. Often, these characters appear in different forms of dramas. The same thing can be observed in the songs of Rabindra Sangeet, sometimes there are songs about them and sometimes they can be seen as an inspirational character. Raja is a king who has to deal with many problems on his territory. He needs to keep his subjects happy and ensure that he has enough gold and land for them so that they remain loyal to him. He is willing to make sacrifices in order to make sure that the kingdom thrives. A good example of a Raja in the drama is that of Lord Krishna in 'Raja Krishna'. Darshan is a general who works under Raja and leads his army. He has to fight battles and wage wars against other kings who are fighting for their own cause. Rani is the queen of the kingdom who has immense power and authority over her subjects. She decides when there will be peace or war in the kingdom. She has her own set of problems when she has to handle factional disputes within her kingdom and when she has to manage relations with other kings and kingdoms.
